Australians with disability will be supported to continue in employment with the Turnbull Government providing $5.3 million to supplement their wages.
The Turnbull Government will provide more than $97 million to support people with disability and children with developmental delay and disability in Victoria across Brimbank Melton, Western Melbourne, Southern Melbourne, Outer Gippsland, Mallee, and Goulburn Victorian regions, as part of the final rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Community Services Ministers met in Canberra today and agreed priorities to improve the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
The Parliamentary Friends group remind us of the values and principles that bind all of us in this iconic place. Eye health and vision care is a cause we can and should support. I commend Vision 2020 on advocating for the elimination of preventable blindness and vision loss for close to twenty years. Vision 2020 is a strong voice in ensuring Australia meets our obligations to the World Health Organisation’s Universal Eye Health: a global action plan 2014-2019.
